We match travelers with churches based on skills and availability, facilitate communication between matched parties, and send service-related notifications.

To Improve the Platform

We use your data to display public profiles and listings, develop new features, and enforce our Terms of Service and community guidelines.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides encrypted data storage, secure authentication, and row-level security policies. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. While no system is perfectly secure, we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data.

  • Multi-factor authentication is available for all accounts.
  • Regular security audits and infrastructure monitoring.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Platform:

  • Supabase: authentication, database, and file storage
  • Stripe (planned): payment processing for subscription plans
  • Mapbox (planned): map display for church locations

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their handling of your data. We only share the minimum data necessary for these services to function.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. These are strictly necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be opted out of while using the service. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics purposes.

The Faithful Tourist operates in Canada and complies with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect personal information only for identified purposes, with your knowledge and consent.
